Condannato David Mills per aver ricevuto almeno 600mila dollari di mazzette dalla Fininvest di Silvio Berlusconi (non giudicabile causa Lodo Alfano). La cosa incredibile è che l’avvocato “dovrà risarcire 250 mila euro alla presidenza del consiglio, costituita parte civile”.

Mr Berlusconi has been involved in 2,500 hearings, has had 587 visits by the police and spent 174m euros (£155m)) in legal fees during his political career.
In some cases the Italian prime minister was found guilty of several charges of illegal party financing, corruption, bribery and false accounting – but he always won on appeal, thereby avoiding jail.
However, in most cases he was either acquitted or time ran out under Italy’s statute of limitations.

Oddio. Me ne vergogno alquanto, ma di questo processo non ne sapevo niente, fino a questo post (e relativi link).
La situazione è alquanto surreale.
Il fatto che ci sia rassegnazione (Nicholas) o ignoranza (Nothing), non sono affatto delle sorprese. Sfortunatamente.
